CAMPAIGN STRATEGY COMMITTEE

Develop and implement strategies to get Democratic candidates elected
Design content for billboards and other party / candidate advertising

COMMUNITY INFORMATION COMMITTEE - WATCHDOG

Ensure that every county and city meeting and board is attended, including County Commission, City Council, Hospital Board, School Board and any other committee deemed important
Monitor important issues and decisions and communicate these to the Nacogdoches Democratic party leadership and members

COMMUNITY ACTION COMMITTEE - RESISTANCE

Organize and attend peaceful and positive protests and demonstrations with other community groups
Initiate a letter writing campaign to keep the important issues in front of the public (i.e. letters to the Daily Sentinel)

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

Provide training on how government works (state, local, and national)
Use social media, workshops and discussion groups to disseminate information

COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE

Maintain and update our website and social media (ie. Facebook, Tiktok, etc.)
Communicate meetings and events to membership
Chair: Karen Allen

CANDIDATE SEARCH COMMITTEE

Identify, vet and recruit candidates for all elected offices; state, county and city
Recruit individuals to serve on all city advisory boards, ie. The Library board
Recruit Executive Committee Members
Chair: Tory Free

EVENTS COMMITTEE

Coordinate all events; reserve meeting/activity space, set up, tear down and staff
Arrange for food, snacks and drinks when needed
Coordinate with the Executive Committee to arrange for speakers and entertainment
Coordinate social gatherings, such as after-hours, outdoor activities, etc.

FINANCE AND FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

Coordinate with Event Committee on fundraising events ie. Beans and Jeans
Solicit contributions from members
Set up and monitor Pledge Program
