Weekly Newsletter February 17, 2025

Dear Democrats,

I worked for USAID, the United States Agency for International Development, for eleven years. This past week has been like experiencing a death in the family. I’m sure that others with experience in other Federal agencies feel likewise. For once I am at a loss for words. Join me on Monday for our National Day of Protest on the Courthouse steps.

Upcoming events in the next few weeks

1. Join us for the National Day of Protest on Monday, February 17, at noon, on the Courthouse steps. Hundreds of other rallies will take place at the same time, from Washington, DC, to state capitals, to city halls and county courthouses. At our peaceful rally we will show our opposition to fascism and tyranny and will resolve to protect the U.S. Constitution and to ensure that power serves the people and not the rich and powerful. Bring a sign, show your support!

2. The Nacogdoches Community Coalition will meet at 5:30pm on Monday, February 17, in the Little Zion Baptist Church, 305 Shawnee Street discuss final preparations for the Black History Expo.
