Weekly Newsletter March 10, 2025

Dear Democrats,

The DNC had a good summary of Trump’s speech on Monday, showing that instead of focusing on the needs of working families, he used his joint address to Congress to focus on his extreme and divisive agenda:

  • 0 mentions of health care affordability vs. 3 mentions of annexing Greenland

  • 0 mentions of housing affordability vs. 6 mentions of the Panama Canal

  • 0 mentions of veterans vs. 2 mentions of the Gulf of “America”

  • 0 mentions of making the rich pay their fair share in taxes vs. 5 mentions of tax handouts for the ultra-wealthy and mega corporations

  • 0 mentions of prescription drug costs vs. 3 mentions of shadow president Elon Musk

  • 5 mentions of jobs vs. 13 mentions of Joe Biden.

While we will remain woke, diverse, equitable, and inclusive, we must show Republicans in Nacogdoches that this means supporting health care, affordable housing, fair taxation, veterans, and Social Security, things we should all agree on.
